5 Ways to Annoy Our Employees
Our employees enjoy their work. They are service-oriented and get a 'kick' from helping people. However, even the most customer-friendly employee gets annoyed about something now and then. What is it? Well, this.
1. 'My driver's license is at home'
'I left my driver's license at home. Can I still rent a car?' You wouldn't believe how often our employees are confronted with this question. We believe that you have a valid driver's license. But we really need to see it before we give you a rental car. Also from our insurance.
2. 'Borg? What do you mean, you don't trust me?'
Our employees sometimes have endless discussions with customers about paying the deposit. We have already seen your driver's license and second ID, haven't we? And you already take out mandatory car insurance, right? Unfortunately, you cannot get out of the deposit. When you return the car, you will get it back neatly.
3. 'Can I get a free upgrade?'
If the car or van you want to rent is not available, you can get a free upgrade. However, some customers think they are entitled to an upgrade in advance. Possibly because they have had a free upgrade in the past. But unfortunately. If you have reserved a small car and your Ford Fiesta is already waiting for you, we cannot suddenly give you a Ford Focus when you pick it up.
4. 'I don't need insurance!'
Some drivers are so confident in their own driving skills that they don't think they need car insurance. Or they simply don't want insurance because of the costs. However, taking out car insurance is a requirement for being able to rent a car. This way, you are insured for damage to others and your own damage due to a collision. A reassuring idea, right?
5. 'I didn't know I had to fill up the tank'
Our 'full-full' fuel policy leaves little to be desired in terms of clarity. You get a car with a full tank, and we expect it to be returned with a full tank. We also communicate this fuel policy clearly. So if someone returns a car and asks 'Can you fill up?', we do raise our eyebrows.
