5 Maastricht hotels that offer great value for money
Our price-conscious tenants also include the necessary tourists from home and abroad. They often ask us if we, as locals, do not know of a 'good and cheap' hotel in Maastricht. Of course we do! So for them, and everyone else, we have listed what we consider to be the 5 best hotels in Maastricht.
We are not completely subjective, because we went to the world's largest hotel review website to look for hotels with the highest rating and a reasonable room rate. This has in fact become a top 5 of Maastricht hotels with the best price-quality ratio.
1. Kaboom Hotel
Kaboom Hotel hit the big time in 2015! The hotel of La Bergère Group offers the luxury experience of a hotel for a price that can compete with a hostel. In short, you get a lot of value for your money! You won't find any unnecessary luxury in the hotel, but all the basics (bed, shower, etc.) are very comfortable. Moreover, the entire look & feel of the hotel is particularly luxurious. For a bite to eat and/or a drink, you can go to the neighbours: the Douwe Egberts café or the Asian fusion restaurant Dadawan, from Limburg's most striking hospitality entrepreneur Danny Deng.
2. Stayokay Maastricht
Stayokay Maastricht is a hostel with both private (2-6 persons) and shared rooms (6-9). An ideal overnight accommodation for both larger groups and social individuals who want to spend the night cheaply. You only share the sanitary facilities with your roommates. In the bar and restaurant you can mingle with the other guests. The terrace (and also some of the rooms) have a wonderful view of the Maas.
3. Hotel BE41
BE41 (Bredestraat 41) is a small boutique hotel – or is it a bed & breakfast? – in the heart of Maastricht, a stone’s throw from the famous Vrijthof. With only seven hotel rooms (for two people), there is a homely atmosphere. As for breakfast, you can choose between a regular or luxury breakfast, which is served in the room as standard.
4. Townhouse Hotel Maastricht
Cosiness reigns supreme at Townhouse Hotel Maastricht, without becoming stuffy. Townhouse is truly a second home away from home, just like the rich used to have a town house next to their country house, where they stayed most of the year. You are welcomed with a cup of soup as standard. In addition to cosiness, Townhouse focuses on hospitality and the hotel is full of surprising details. Coincidence or not: just like our number one, this hotel also belongs to the La Bergère Group of Maastricht hotelier Rino Soeters.
5. Country estate Vaeshartelt
Buitenplaats Vaeshartelt is located – the name actually gives it away – on the edge of Maastricht. In addition to being a hotel, the castle and surrounding estate also serve as a conference venue. Due to its romantic appearance, it is a popular resting place for couples, but business guests also appreciate the peace and space. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this beautiful location: the price!
