How much does a car cost?

People often think that renting a car is expensive(r), but is that true?

How much does a car cost?

Add up all the costs. Think of road tax, insurance, maintenance, repairs, damage repair and new tires. Don't forget to include things like depreciation and/or financing costs in your calculation. You can also take a look at the website of the ANWB to calculate how much you spend on your car each month.

Carefree driving

An unexpected garage bill can really put a damper on your mood, right? When you rent a car, you know exactly what the costs are and you are not confronted with repair or maintenance costs. If something does go wrong with the car, you bring it back and it will be fixed. Easy and no worries about how high the garage bill will be again.

Of course you say that a rental car is cheaper

This message is not intended as a smooth sales pitch and we really do not want to generalize. How expensive your own car is also depends on you. If you are a good driver and careful with your car, the risks are smaller and therefore the costs lower. We do want to make you aware. Renting a car is not always more expensive than your own car. Take a critical look at the costs. How often do you use your car? Or do you have two cars and are you considering selling the second car because it is hardly used anymore? There is a good chance that renting a car (occasionally) is much cheaper!
