About this Fiat 500
The Fiat 500 was introduced in 1957 and is one of the smallest mass-produced cars. The car did not sell well at first, because the 500 was delivered as a bare model to keep sales of the Fiat 600 going. Eventually, over 3,5 million were made. Production continued until 1975.
In Belgium the Fiat 500 is nicknamed bolleke and in the Netherlands it is called Rugzakje, Bultje and Pencil Sharpener.
