Rental car as an alternative to taxi or train
If you have to do without your own car for a while, for example because it is in the garage for maintenance or repairs, you will have to use another mode of transport, such as public transport, a taxi or a rental car.
Public transport
Every day, hordes of people travel to their destination by public transport. Travelling by train, bus, tram and metro certainly has its advantages. For example, it is a relatively cheap way to get from A to B and you don't have to look for a parking space. Plus it is good for the environment. But public transport also has a downside.
Firstly, you are dependent on departure and arrival times, which limits your flexibility. Secondly, you often have to deal with delays or disruptions, which means that the train or bus does not run at all. And trains are especially packed during rush hour in large cities. Finally, if you travel by public transport, you will almost always have to walk a bit to your final destination.
Taxi
A taxi will take you from door to door. If all goes well, it will also be on time. You will also be riding relatively comfortably and you will not have to share your taxi with others. Of course, there is also a price to pay – literally. Most taxi companies charge call-out fees, which means you will have already spent money before you even get in. Short rides are often refused, because taxi drivers earn little from them. If you have to be at different places in one morning or afternoon, the costs for a taxi can quickly add up.
Rent a car
In many, perhaps most cases, a rental car an excellent alternative to public transport or taxi. If you need to go to the airport for example. The only thing you need to take care of is a second driver to drive the car back.
A rental car is a godsend when your own car is in the garage for maintenance or repairs. After all, you will still have to get to work, pick up the children from school, do the shopping, etc.
A rental car actually stands for freedom. You can rent a rental car for as short or long as needed. One or more days, a half day or even just an hour.
Do you need replacement transportation for more than thirty days? Then we offer short lease outcome. You will then benefit from an extra advantageous daily rate. After a month, the lease contract can be cancelled on a daily basis. So you are not tied to anything. Handy if your new car is delivered earlier than expected.
Have you ever had to do without your car for a while? How long? And how did you get from A to B in the meantime? Let us know in a comment. Need a car? A rent a car in Brunssum and surroundings, go to Adrem!

Beautiful old photo of Leiden station, estimated around the year 2000, when green Connexxion buses already ran in Leiden, but the Katwijk city buses (which also serve Leiden station) were still white and yellow.
I come from Katwijk myself, so I recognize it. 🙂
By the way, it's not that bad with how uncomfortable public transport is. Only in Limburg it was indeed quite getting used to: infrequent, no more services after midnight, large areas without a bus stop. That is considerably better in the Randstad.
