With Adrem Car Rental Limburg to: Kasteelpark Born
With its park-like surroundings, many native and exotic animals, petting zoo and playground, Kasteelpark Born guarantees a fun day out with the kids.
Park residents
Kasteelpark Born is located in the former gardens of Born Castle, which was destroyed by fire in the 30s and of which only a ruin now remains. In this animal park you can take a lovely walk and get to know the inhabitants of the park in passing, including the many ducks, geese and swans in the moats. Extra fun during the breeding season!
One of the first animals you encounter in the park are the woolly alpacas. Then feed the deer (food bags for sale at the cash register), but watch your fingers, because they share their enclosure with the hungry rheas - distant relatives of the ostrich.
The park actually has too many species to mention. Here are a few: monkeys, squirrels, camels, llamas, tortoises, lynxes, coatis, arctic foxes, porcupines, skunks, wallabies and raccoons.

farm and Kriebelhuis
Not all animals in the park are behind a fence or bars. At the petting zoo you can pet the mischievous goats. Be sure to hide all food well, because these curious rascals have a nose for it! Don't forget to take a look in the otter enclosure. Less cuddly animals, such as insects, spiders, frogs and iguanas, can be found in the Kriebelhuis.
Playground and catering
In the heart of the park you will find a playground, with various play equipment, a climbing frame and a large bouncy castle. Right next to it is a lookout tower that offers you a beautiful view over the entire park.
Parents can keep an eye on their playing offspring from the terrace of the catering establishment 't Uulke, where you can go for a drink and a bite to eat. The wood stove burns on the covered terrace during the autumn and winter months. Cosy, with a cup of hot chocolate or an autumn bock.

Activities
Throughout the year there are various activities in Kasteelpark Born, including presentations and workshops. For example, there is always a spring market at the end of April and on Whit Monday the sheep have to believe it, because their winter coats are sheared off.
Opening times and admission prices
The park is open daily from March to October from 10.00:18.00 to 10.00:17.00. The other months the park is open on Wednesdays and weekends from XNUMX:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX and every day during school holidays.
Adults pay an entrance fee of 7,50 euros. Children from 2 to 12 pay 6 euros, as do disabled people and people aged 65 and over. The very youngest can enter for free. Planning to visit Kasteelpark Born more often? Then you can quickly save money with an annual pass.
