Recognizable for all parents with young children.

Going to the grocery store with your child can be a challenge.

For a child (who has no idea about money yet) a supermarket is like one big grab bag. Clever by those supermarket marketeers. At your eye level, in the most beautiful, attractive colours. Everywhere there are tasty things that you can just grab.

Oh no, you can't just take it.

First ask politely: 'Daddy, can I have candy?'

Dad pretends not to hear.

Just one more question: 'Daddy, can I have candy?'

Once again, Dad pretends not to hear.

But daddy hears it. Because after the fourth time of asking he says: 'And now you stop whining!' 

And if you're unlucky, from that moment on it's war.

Child angry, daddy angry.

I read somewhere that it helps to lie down on the floor and scream like your child. The child will probably calm down from surprise. I have never tried it, to be honest, but it is an option.

You can also just give your child what he whines about, then you are rid of the whining. Provided it fits within your budget of course.

Most parents do not choose either of these options.

No, they are going to negotiate.

Saying reasonable things.

While all reason has long since disappeared. You should have listened sooner. 

This third option is the most entertaining for the bystanders. Although the first one is also very funny.

For all adults who have (partly) remained a little bit of a child, I have fun toys.

We are going to our classic cars rent out again.

Lock-down proof, because driving around in a classic car is of course something you do alone, or if necessary with your partner.

There is room for children, but to avoid any hassle, I would arrange for a babysitter.
