With Adrem Car Rental Limburg to Amusement Park De Valkenier
As the cheapest amusement park in Europe, Amusement Park De Valkenier in Valkenburg is an ideal destination for a fun and cheap day out with the kids.
Rich history
Founded in 1934, De Valkenier is a childhood memory for some four generations of Limburgers, and has become an indispensable part of Valkenburg. De Valkenier started as a playground and over the years has grown into a modest amusement park, which prides itself on being not only the cheapest, but also the oldest in Europe.
attractions
You can better call De Valkenier a family park than an amusement park. Attractions such as the roller coaster, moon rocket and the haunted house will undoubtedly evoke nostalgic feelings in many readers, but can now be found at every large funfair.
The Falconer will not be able to charm the spoiled amusement park visitor and must rely mainly on families with young children. They will have hours of fun playing in the helicopters, bumper cars and water slide.
In total, De Valkenier has 23 attractions: 15 outdoor and 8 indoor. All but four of these attractions are suitable for children of all ages.
A nice addition to the attractions are the flyboard shows, which take place every Sunday during the summer months.
Opening times and admission prices
The park is open every day from April to August from 10.00:XNUMX. In September and October the park is only open on weekends and during the autumn holidays. The other five months of the year De Valkenier is closed.
Children from 2 years and adults pay 11,95 euros entrance fee, while a season pass costs only 17,95. This makes De Valkenier relatively expensive for tourists who visit Valkenburg in the summer and want to visit the park once, but relatively cheap for people from the neighbourhood who want to come more often.
For large groups, school trips and children's parties, special arrangements are available. For 5,50 euros you can park your car all day in the private parking lot of De Valkenier. It is difficult to find a free parking space, because paid parking applies in the entire center of Valkenburg. If you are lucky, you can park for free at Chalet Tivoli at the end of the Plenkertstraat, about a 10-minute walk away.
A day out
If you want, you can easily spend a whole day there, but you can also combine a day at Valkenier with a splash in the nearby outdoor pool Konincswinkel (no spelling error) or a visit to the tourist center of Valkenburg. Read more about it here day trips with Adrem.
