Driving your rental car
Driving a rental car.
Is that difficult?
Oh well, you get used to everything.
When you pick up the car from us, we will calmly explain how everything works.
Unless you're in a hurry. Then we'll make sure you can leave quickly.
Still forgot
The previous article was about insuring your rental car.
But I forgot to tell you something.
About damage. Sorry!
Two special cases of damage are interior damage and intentional damage.
Interior damage occurs when you put your feet against the dashboard, or when you let a biting dog sit in the car and do its thing. Pets are already not allowed in our rental cars, but if damage occurs to the interior, this damage is not covered by the deductible and this damage will have to be paid in full.
Intentional damage is caused when you deliberately let the rented car hit another car, in order to try to get the damage to the other car reimbursed by our insurance company. Who does that? I don't want to give you any bad ideas 😉 It might help to know that in case of intentional damage you have to pay the damage to our car plus the damage to the other party's car plus a fine. Furthermore, you will be registered as a fraudster and a database of all insurers...
Fine
Privately, we know it: we prefer to throw fines in the trash. But what happens if you get a fine with your car?
I wrote an article about that. You can find it here: What do we do with a fine?
Longer rental
If you want to keep the car longer, that is usually not a problem. We do expect you to let us know. The easiest way is to call us during office hours (Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00): 043-3521100. You will then hear immediately whether it is necessary to come by to possibly supplement the deposit. Send an email to info@ad-rem.nl is of course also possible.
