Are fuel prices rising?

Will petrol and diesel prices rise? That is the question on the minds of many motorists after the recent attacks on Saudi oil installations.

To make a long story short: that will probably not be so bad. The price of petrol and diesel will probably increase by one to two cents per litre. There are enough oil reserves. So there will be no oil or fuel shortage in the short term.

Due to the disruption of the market, the increase in the oil price does indeed affect fuel prices. However, the price of fuel is only determined by the oil price for one fifth. The fact that the price of crude oil has risen explosively in recent days does not mean that fuel prices will also increase proportionally. A full tank of fuel is expected to become 'only' a few euros more expensive in the coming period. This way you can still buy a cheap rent a car in the Geleen region.

A liter of Euro95/E5 currently (23-9-2019) costs 1,75 euros. The record high is almost 1,90 euros and dates from 2012. Do you think this record will be broken following the recent attacks on oil installations?
