Where are you traveling to?

I heard an interview with musician Frans Pollux on the radio.

Frans Pollux is looking for Uwe.

Uwe is a German who has lived in Roermond for 23 years.

In 2013, Uwe tells in a small café in the city centre of Roermond that he will not live much longer. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Uwe announces that he wants to spend his last weeks on an island in the sun.

Everyone who hears this is shocked.

The friends raise money for Uwe's trip. Together they sing and dance one last time to his favorite song.

Then Uwe leaves for good, a one-way ticket to the end.

Uwe's favorite song was a Limburg song by musician Frans Pollux: ´Hald Mich Ens Vas´. Many people think it's a beautiful song, except for the barmaid, Resi. Resi tells Frans that she has come to hate that song because it always reminds her of Uwe.

When the singer heard this, he decided to investigate.

Did Uwe really die? Or is he still alive?

I'm not going to tell you how it ends.

Frans Pollux has an exciting podcast recorded in which you can listen to his search for the truth behind Uwe's departure.

The first 4 episodes are available, the rest will follow later this month.
