Refueling refers to filling a vehicle's fuel tank with fuel, such as gasoline or diesel, to the desired or required level. This is a routine task that is necessary to keep the vehicle running and prevent you from running out of fuel. For rental cars, it is often mandatory to return the car to the rental company with a full tank, unless otherwise agreed in your rental contract. This prevents additional charges and ensures that the next renter can leave with a full tank. Fuel policy is one of the things to look out for when renting a car choice for the best rental car.
Why do you need to refuel a rental car?
Many car rental companies have a full-full fuel policy. This means that you rent the car with a full tank and return it with a full tank, so that the next rental company can also leave with a full tank. Refueling falls under the normal car rental costs. If you receive a tank that is not full when you pick up the car, please state the exact tank capacity on your rental agreement. If you return the car not full, you will be charged for the missing fuel and service costs.

Do you also want to refuel when you don't use your rental car very often?
If you have only driven a few kilometers or the rented a car for a really short period of time, it seems pointless to fill up.
