White van may be getaway car after murder

White vans are often associated with criminal activity in the news:

'Two reports of a white van chasing minors'

'White van possibly getaway car after murder of lawyer'

'A white van once again corners a young woman'

That's because most vans in the Netherlands are white.

There were times when you were better off not buying a white car. White may have been the cheapest option, but when you sold it you also got the least money back for a white car.

You may be familiar with the dealer's expression: 'You'll be stuck with a white one'. In other words: a white car is harder to sell. Car dealers know this better than anyone, so they will offer less for your white car than for a black or grey one.

Why are all our vans white?

Because they are not passenger cars.

A white van is the most economical to purchase, but more importantly, they yield more when sold.

With vans the expression 'you stay with a colored one' applies more.

In addition, damage is regularly caused by rental vans. Drivers are often not used to driving a van. Repairs to a white van are cheaper than to vans that have been sprayed in a nice colour with a metallic paint.

Two important reasons why our rental vans are white.

We still put a logo on our vans to avoid being associated with criminal activities. When I read again: 'white van may be getaway car' I always check if our logo is on it. If it isn't I think: shit, no free advertising again...

When we have to buy buses, I always find it amusing how manufacturers name the color of their cars and vans.

They are never just white.

But summit white. Or blanc banquise (ice floe white). Or pure white (what is not pure white then?). Or bianco.

When you're moving and you're sweating it out, it might be nice to think about mountain peaks or ice floes.

Or if you have to go to the cold market in winter with your white bus, it is wonderful to think of pure white hot chocolate or a Martini Bianco.

But come on: stop with those marketing bullshit names for colors.

Or do you prefer to move with a blanc banquise van?

Or do you like to deliver goods with a bianco van?

Or does it drive better if the bus is summit white?

In that case, feel free to rent a van!

Even if you just have a white van in the Urmond region If you want to rent, you are welcome!
