GaiaZOO<\/span> Kerkrade<\/span>, formerly known as GaiaPark Kerkrade Zoo, is listed as one of the most beautiful zoos in Europe. <\/span>Quite right, as far as we're concerned. <\/span>One moment you're face to face with the lions of the Savanna, the next with the mighty gorillas in the Rainforest. <\/span>Taiga <\/span>you'll encounter animals from cold northern climates. But also for <\/span>space has been made for regional animal species.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BirdBirds of prey show<\/span><\/h2>\n

One of the highlights of a day at GaiaZOO is the bird of prey show in the GaiArena.<\/span> If you're on the top rows<\/span>t, the birds of prey will swoop past your head! At first a small buzzard, but the birds quickly increase in size. Before you know it, you'll have to duck for an eagle or <\/span>Gier! But fear not, the falconers do this daily and know what they are doing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Climbing and roughhousing<\/span><\/h2>\n

GaiaZOO is more than a zoo. <\/span>You can also play and climb to your heart's content.<\/span>and DinoDome, an indoor playground with <\/span>Dinosaur theme<\/span>, <\/span>is a veritable climbing paradise. Outside you can take a ride on the Dino<\/span>Carousel<\/span>, the ju<\/span>n<\/span>Explore the jungle on the JungleTour<\/span>,<\/span> of just playing nicely in the playground. <\/span><\/p>\n

Food and drink<\/span><\/h2>\n

At the in-<\/span>At the exit there is a coffee corner where you can go<\/span> <\/span>for a drink and something to eat on the go. In the middle of the park, there's a self-service restaurant: Plateau of Gaia. Here <\/span>you can, among other things, go there for a cup of coffee with flan, <\/span>bread crumbed<\/span> sandwiches and complete menus. When the weather is good, ice cream and hot dogs are sold outside. <\/span><\/p>\n

Opening hours and admission<\/span><\/h2>\n

GaiaZOO is open every day from 10:00 AM. In autumn and spring, the park is open until 5:00 PM. In winter, it's open until 4:00 PM, and in summer, the gates close at 6:00 PM. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ticket prices for day passes vary depending on the season and can even differ from day to day. In principle, the earlier you book, the higher your discount. Plan your visit<\/span>Head to GaiaZOO and buy an e-ticket well in advance. It's always cheaper than a regular ticket. <\/span>at the checkout.<\/p>\n

\"GaiaZOOAt the time of writing, you pay <\/span>at the checkout<\/span> <\/span>for children aged 3 to 9 years, \u20ac16.50, and for children aged 10 years and over and adults, \u20ac20.50. But <\/span>In the webshop, you pay \u20ac16 and \u20ac10 respectively for an e-ticket. Children up to and including 2 years of age have free admission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you planning to visit GaiaZOO more often? From four visits per year, a yearly pass will quickly work out as better value. <\/span><\/p>\n

Parking<\/span><\/h2>\n

Parking in GaiaZOO's own car park costs 5 euros. You can use that money to<\/span> possible<\/span> save money by parking on the street parallel to Kerkradersteenweg, within walking distance of the main entrance. Do pay attention<\/span>Where <\/span>Yes and no <\/span>Parking!<\/span><\/p>\n
