This is partly due to changes in the rules for company car tax additions. Although sales rose in the second quarter, that brief upturn could not compensate for the decline in both the first and the past third quarter. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most popular brands, in order, are Volkswagen, Renault and Opel, closely followed by Peugeot. Of the top three, only Opel has sold more cars this year so far than last year. The 25<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tesla is in the lead, with almost 1,100 units sold.
