Frans Pollux is looking for Uwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uwe is a German who lived in Roermond for 23 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2013, in a small caf\u00e9 in the centre of Roermond, Uwe says that he will not live much longer. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uwe announces that he wants to spend his final weeks on an island in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone who hears this is shocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The friends are raising money for Uwe's trip. Together they sing and dance one last time to his favourite song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, you leave for good, a one-way ticket towards the end.<\/p>\n\n\n
Uwe's favourite song was a Limburgish song by musician Frans Pollux: 'Hald Mich Ens Vas'. Many people find it a beautiful song, except for the landlady of the pub, Resi. Resi tells Frans that she has grown to hate the song because it always reminds her of Uwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the singer heard this, he decided to investigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
