Toine is three years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

His parents have a car rental company in Maastricht.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Toine is walking around the company courtyard.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are several cars. They are waiting for the next renter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Or they've already been rented out and still need cleaning for the next tenant.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is no room for playground equipment in the courtyard.<\/span><\/p>\n

Poor Toine.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has to make do with parked cars.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But hey.<\/span><\/p>\n

He'll help his parents a bit.<\/span><\/p>\n

He opens a door and climbs into the car.<\/span><\/p>\n

The key is still in the ignition.<\/span><\/p>\n

First gear, car not on handbrake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then the brake can't freeze either.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beautiful!<\/span><\/p>\n

Toine only needs to turn the key.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He's seen that often enough when his dad starts a car.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Toine turns the key, and Bang!<\/span><\/p>\n

He crashes into the car in front of him.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 years old, and straight away two problems at once.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His father came running out and was terribly frightened.<\/span><\/p>\n

He immediately starts shouting about paying the excess.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then he sees that his own son caused the damage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ah well, Toine hasn't received enough pocket money yet to pay his excess.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

About twenty years have passed.<\/span><\/p>\n

We no longer leave cars with the keys in the ignition on our forecourt.<\/span><\/p>\n

At our request, car manufacturers have modified how a car starts. Nowadays, you have to press the clutch pedal before a car will start.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can therefore perfectly leave your three-year-old to play in a car.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So you don't have any play equipment in your garden either?<\/span><\/p>\n

Feel free to rent a car.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

To let your children play.<\/span><\/p>\n
