Mobility budget offers freedom and flexibility
The program mobility budget is steadily gaining popularity. This alternative to the lease budget gives employees the freedom to determine their own mode of transport. An employee receives a monthly budget from his boss, which he can spend freely. What he has left is in fact 'normal' - taxable, of course - income.
Because an employee manages his own budget, he will make more conscious choices. For example, by choosing a smaller, more economical car or a hybrid or fully electric vehicle. The e-bike and – for longer distances – public transport are also made more attractive. TU Delft has calculated that the mobility budget can yield society a net 50 million euros. For example, by saving on travel time.
Rent a car from your mobility budget
You can also spend your mobility budget on a business rental car. A small car rent from 22,40 euros (incl. insurance) per day, excluding mileage and fuel costs. Do you need transportation for a longer period? Then short-term car lease an attractive option. That is not a 'real' lease, but long-term rent.
