On Good Friday, I heard an interview on the radio with two people who had launched the website coronaklaagmuur.nl.
They believe more complaints can be made at the Stroom church in Amsterdam.
The founders write: 'The Dutch are known as a complaining nation. Except in times of corona, when complaining seems to be forbidden. We have to remain optimistic, you often hear.' That's why they are giving visitors to the site the opportunity to vent their frustrations online.
At home, I quickly checked out the website, and there were real gems of unadulterated nonsense on there:
Kutburen – Making noise all day, can't even sit in my garden normally
I'm only now realising how little my husband does all day.
24/7 - I find working from home quite nice, but my wife is here all day too!
Die – die, planers, die!
Corona – I'm not enjoying my Corona anymore
Every now and then, a good old moan can be quite cathartic.
I usually do that in the car (especially when I'm driving alone, my wife Elly doesn't allow me to swear so much). A car that lingers too long in the left lane. Or someone who wants to overtake at the last minute, while I'm already in the left lane. Or someone who drives right up behind me when I'm overtaking at the last minute ;-)
My fellow road users will have to pay the price then.
Luckily, they cannot hear me.
Are you fed up with your housemates, and you have no car in the Sittard region?
You can rent another one from us: https://adremlimburg.nl/goedkoop-huren/auto-huren/
I look forward to hearing from you!
