Summer tyres

It's high time to fit summer tyres to your car. Because from April to September, this is the safest choice for your car, given the temperatures during this period.

Why summer tyres?

Summer tyres are designed for warm conditions with their specific rubber compound. By retaining their shape, they offer optimal road holding. And thanks to the tread pattern, you get optimal grip.

Winter tyres are not stable in shape in warm conditions and therefore have higher rolling resistance and wear out faster. This is not good for your fuel consumption, the environment, and your wallet.

Depth of field

Summer tyres are designed not only for warm conditions, but also for wet road surfaces. The tread pattern ensures this. Although the legal minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm, we recommend a tread depth of at least 2.0 mm for summer tyres. Please note that the tread depth of new summer tyres is three to four times deeper!

On a wet road surface, the shallower the tread, the less grip and the longer the braking distance. It also increases the risk of aquaplaning, which makes your car uncontrollable.

Order summer tyres online

Are you ordering your summer tyres online? If so, make sure you order the correct tyre size. You can easily read the tyre size on the side of your current tyres or find it in the information booklet that came with your car.

Money-saving tip: have your car tyres changed at the same time as a minor/major service or your car's MOT. Alternatively, combine it with the summer check or air conditioning inspection.

All-season tyres

Don't feel like changing tyres every season? Four-season tyres, or all-season tyres, combine the best characteristics of summer and winter tyres, for good handling and grip in all conditions. Hot and cold, wet or dry.
