The most beautiful sights of Limburg

There's nothing more beautiful than a lovely cruise through the gorgeous green hills of Limburg. Stopping along the way in romantic villages with half-timbered houses and enjoying a delicious slice of vlaai at one of the many terraces in this beautiful province. Of course, you can drive around aimlessly and see where you end up. That always works out well in Limburg, but you can also follow our tips! Because we've listed the most beautiful sights of Limburg for you. And we'll tell you the best ways to explore these places.

Three Countries Point

Think the Netherlands is quite flat? Then take a drive through South Limburg! Discover the beautiful rolling landscape and stop every now and then to enjoy the magnificent views. You certainly shouldn't miss the highest point in the Netherlands. This is, of course, the Drielandenpunt (Three-Country Point). What makes it even more fun is that this highest point is also where three countries meet: the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. You can easily spend a whole day here. Climb the tower for a breathtaking view over three countries (you'll need to have a head for heights!), relax at one of the cosy terraces, or try your luck in the labyrinth (watch out for the spontaneously spraying water walls…). Beautiful walking and cycling routes also depart from here. The Drielandenpunt is a place for young and old. So gather your children and their friends and rent a Minibus Come on over here with everyone. A day full of fun is guaranteed!

Designer Outlet Roermond

Are you a real shopaholic? Then you absolutely cannot miss the Designer Outlet in Roermond. This outlet centre is the largest in the Netherlands and you'll find all the well-known brands there. The Designer Outlet Centre in Roermond is easily accessible and has a very large car park and multi-storey car park. But you must, of course, arrive in style! For example, in our beautiful electric carShop to your heart's content all day at top brands like Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Prada and Armani. There are plenty of dining options to be found too. The outlet centre is beautifully designed, as if you're strolling through a lovely little town. All fake, of course, but it looks good! Would you like to see a truly beautiful town? Don't forget to visit the breathtakingly beautiful old town of Roermond. Then you'll really see a lovely, old city.

Valkenburg

Valkenburg is a sight to behold in itself. This picturesque town looks like it's come straight out of a fairytale. The houses, the shops... absolutely everything in the centre looks beautiful. Almost un-Dutch, even. In Valkenburg, you're transported to a completely different world. And you can tell by the number of tourists. There are plenty of pavement cafes here, but you're also in the right place for nice boutiques and souvenir shops. Don't forget that Valkenburg is already quite hilly, so you'll frequently find yourself at the top of a hill with your car. Therefore, for a day out in Valkenburg, we recommend a Automatic car with automatic transmission Perfect if you don't like hill sprints!

Nature reserves

Limburg boasts several beautiful nature reserves. In North Limburg, you have De Groote Peel National Park, for example. And in Central Limburg, you should definitely visit the Leudal and the Meinweg (with a bit of luck, you might encounter wild boar here!). If you're already near the Drielandenpunt or Valkenburg, we recommend taking a scenic drive through the South Limburg landscape. Visit the magnificent Sint Gerlach Castle, the fairytale-like Kasteel Schaloen, or the enchantingly beautiful Hoensbroek Castle. Drive through stunning, romantic villages with timber-framed houses and enjoy the views. Visit places like Schin op Geul, Slenaken, and Epen, among others. All of this should, of course, be done in style. Because nothing is more beautiful than driving in a magnificent car through the stunning landscape with the wind in your hair.
