If you rent a car or van, we ask you to fill up the vehicle once the rental period is over. If you go to the petrol station, you'll see: Minimum order quantity 5 litres. What should you do now? Fill it up or not?
Nice! Pick up a car with a full tank.
It's nice when a car is already refueled when you pick it up. Especially when you're in a hurry. Therefore, we ask our customers to fill up the car after they've rented it. Why? Simple: the next person who rents the car would like it to be refueled.
Can't you do that for me?
Of course we can do that for you. That is a service we offer. But that’s not free. We ask €9.00 for filling up a car plus the cost of the fuel. So it is up to you…
And if I drove just a few kilometres?
If you only drove a few kilometres, it doesn't seem necessary to fill up your rental car. You wouldn't notice the few litres you used during the rental anyway, would you?
Perhaps you don't see it, but the next person to rent the car will! We know the average fuel consumption of our rental cars. If you notice you need to put in more litres than you expected, it's most often the fault of the previous renter. For this reason, it's best to fill up your rental car after you've used it. Or, let us know if you haven't refuelled – then we can do it for you.
And the message on the petrol pump?
The message: “Minimum purchase 5 litres” has to do with the calibration of the pump. Quantities less than 5 litres are not guaranteed to be calibrated. But you can also fill your scoot with one or two litres of petrol.
So please fill up your hire car after you've rented it. The next tenant will be grateful!
