Wonderful resurrection

“Do you happen to have a pass for the recycling centre that I could borrow? I can't find mine anywhere.”

The gentleman at the counter wanted to take some rubbish to the recycling centre. A couple of garden cushions, an old sofa and some garden waste.

I'm telling him that if he returns the bus and the pass neatly after use, he can definitely borrow a pass. This is because things are often forgotten when people have rented a bus or car.

Popular forgotten items include sunglasses and umbrellas, depending on the season. Also phones, glasses cases, charging cables and passes for the recycling centre. We have a box of lost property at each branch.

I'm giving our tenant a tag so he can take his old belongings away without any problems. The gentleman pays his deposit and after the usual spin around the block, he drives home to collect his old junk.

There is a long queue of cars and buses at the recycling centre.

Apparently, he's not the only one who had the idea to make his house a little less full.

When it's his turn, he's asked: "Is this card yours?"

"Of course, that's my pass!" replies our tenant.

That's strange...

A miraculous resurrection! says the recycling centre attendant. According to our records, the owner of this card died 3 years ago. And that deceased gentleman is now throwing out old belongings!

Ah well, that can happen, around Easter... replies our tenant.

The environmental park attendant can see the funny side of it. He advises our tenant to apply for a new card. He can unload his belongings this time.

When returning the bus, the tenant warns me about recycling centre passes belonging to a deceased owner.

Good point!

Do you also have excess items at home, with or without a *milieupas*?

Then feel free to book a van.!

We are open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and most of the recycling centres are too.

Preferably bring your environmental park pass yourself. You never know with a borrowed environmental pass…
