Prepare your car for winter

The mercury is regularly flirting with zero degrees. Frost, snow and road salt are disastrous for your car. High time to get your car winter-proof. We do the same with our cars, here at Adrem.

lock defroster

Frozen lock? Use lock defroster or hold a bag of warm water against it. Don't forget to store the lock defroster outside the car...

Treating rubbers

Prevent frozen doors by lubricating the rubbers with acid-free Vaseline. Talcum powder also helps.

Window defroster

The quickest and easiest way to make short work of frozen windows is window defroster. Of course you can also just scrape. Or use an ice blanket, so you don't have to scrape at all.

Spray fluid

Replace the summer version of your washer fluid in good time with antifreeze for the winter.

Winter tires

Replace your summer tires with winter tires in time. Because it rains more than snows in the Netherlands, it is also a good idea to have rain tires or all-season tires mounted. You do not have to change them.

Battery

Your battery is nothing more than a big battery, and batteries do not tolerate low temperatures. Your battery discharges faster in cold temperatures and during short trips the dynamo does not get a chance to charge the battery. Therefore, do not only drive short distances.
