Why sharing your bike is not a good idea

In our home we share a lot. That is of course also part of renting out cars.

If my bike has a flat tire, I just take a bike that doesn't have a flat tire.

If one of our children's bikes has a flat tire, we simply take another bike.

This continues until all bicycles have a flat tire.

Then, of course, all hell breaks loose.

"I'm not walking to school!"

"Why didn't you teach your kids how to fix a flat tire?"

I have.

Wait a minute.

'I taught you how to patch a flat tire, but either you forgot or you're too lazy to do it and just get another bike. Otherwise, look on YouTube, there are enough do-it-yourself videos on how to patch a flat tire. Just like you watch on YouTube how to put together a project!'

My children don't get that back.

It just doesn't solve anything. Because of course no tire is patched.

That means walking to school.

All the bikes have flat tires, so something has to be done.

Luckily I have a car rental company, and not all the vans are rented out today.

So I lug all the bikes with flat tires into the van and take them to the bike shop.

The bicycle repairman looks at me with amusement.

'Did you seriously rent a van to bring all those bikes with flat tires here?'

Well, that's the advantage of having a car rental company, I say.

I would also rather have been a bank manager or a tax collector.

Then I would have had money instead of vans that are not always rented out.

Now that I have those vans, I might as well rent them to you.

So if you have a job where you have a bus in the Echt region If you need anything, please let us know!
