Our favourite parking apps

Mobile parking apps are rapidly making parking meters, parking tickets and debit or cash payment obsolete. But what are actually the best and most affordable parking apps? We've listed our five favourite apps for you. In random order, mind you.

Yellowbrick

At Yellowbrick, you can pay per transaction or opt for a subscription. If you choose the former, you pay €0.34 per transaction, making Yellowbrick one of the more expensive parking apps. With a subscription, you pay €0.75 per week and no transaction costs on top of that. Therefore, a subscription is already more cost-effective if you park three or more times per week. You pay €10 in registration fees at Yellowbrick, with or without a subscription.

Note: ANWB members pay no registration fees at Yellowbrick and receive a 25% discount on transaction fees.

Parkmobile

Parkmobile is the most downloaded and highest-rated parking app in the Netherlands. With €0.25 per transaction and a €2 monthly subscription, Parkmobile is more affordable than Yellowbrick above, whether you park occasionally or frequently. Furthermore, you don't pay any registration fees. Note that for ANWB members, Yellowbrick is practically as affordable as Parkmobile.

Parking

Parksen, which is relatively new, has no registration fees, just like Parkmobile. You only pay €0.24 per transaction (post-paid) and even just €0.20 pre-paid. Ideal if you only park occasionally. A pre-paid subscription, suitable for those who park more frequently, costs €1.50 per month. Prefer to pay afterwards? Then you'll pay €1.90 per month. All this makes Parksen the most affordable parking app.

MyOrder

The On the GO! app, launched in 2017, is offered by Tango. The app allows you to refuel and park your car using your mobile. Mobile refuelling is the new way to refuel. At over 500 petrol stations throughout the Netherlands, you can refuel faster than ever. Download the app, select your pump number, refuel, and pay afterwards. With On the GO!, you only pay £0.22 per parking transaction, and there's no extra charge for refuelling transactions. A subscription is not required.

Park-line

Park-line operates exclusively with a subscription. The app is therefore primarily aimed at people who park frequently and business users. For mobile parking, you pay €5 per user and €2.50 per month, plus an additional €0.15 per transaction. For a one-off payment of €5 and €0.50 extra per user, you also receive a garage card for parking in car parks. For this, you pay €0.25 per transaction.
